Tara Branscom-Holmes

Tara focuses her practice on representing large and mid-sized companies and well-funded startups in a broad range of trademark, copyright, and licensing. With over 20 years of experience in trademark, copyright, licensing and corporate law, she handles matters involving trademark and copyright prosecution; licensing, and corporate agreements for a large cross-section of products and technologies; intellectual property disputes such as trademark and domain name disputes; intellectual property related employment issues; and intellectual property aspects of acquisitions and mergers.

Tara is an active participant of the Intellectual Property Section of the Virginia State Bar and previously served as its President. She has also served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of the Valley [2018 – 2019]. She is also a member of the Roanoke Bar Association. She has been recognized repeatedly for her work as an attorney, including as a Virginia “Super Lawyer”, “Top 50: Women Virginia Super Lawyers”, a Virginia “Legal Elite” in Intellectual Property and by “The Best Lawyers in America®” [2009 to present].
